Bientôt la rentrée scolaire / Back to School Season

Alors que cette année la rentrée scolaire au Cambodge  est prévue le 1^er novembre, l’équipe d’animation de la bibliothèque se redessine. Ce sont les jeunes du Foyer Saint Jean Baptiste qui sont volontaires pour animer et comme le foyer s’arrête à la terminale, Sovann et Ey, qui étaient très investis l’an dernier sont partis pour rentrer à l’université après avoir réussi leur Bac ; ils préparent tous les deux un Bachelor Degree de Tourisme. Aujourd’hui Lin, Vaesna, Sarath, Peren, Phearun et Liheng ont animés. Ce qui est juste formidable lors d’un après-midi comme celui-ci, c’est le bonheur visible des enfants que nous recevons… A la bibliothèque du bonheur : Normal ! Et, une fois de plus, nous avons assistés a un phénomène acoustique exceptionnel et typiquement Cambodgien : Alors que dans notre bibliothèque de 4m x 4m trois histoires étaient lues simultanément et à haute voix dans 3 petits groupes, personne ne dérangeait personne ! Magie du Cambodge…

Whereas the official back to school day has been scheduled on November 1^st by the Ministry of Education Youths and Sports, we are organizing our new activity team for this year. The volunteers of the library are students from Saint John Baptist Center. Last year the leaders were E and Sovann but they were in grade 12 and left our center after graduating successfully. They are now both studying a Bachelor Degree in Tourism at University. Today Lin, Vaesna, Sarath, Peren, Phearun et Liheng leaded the activities. The great thing about our library is the happiness we can feel every time. It is quite natural in the “Library of happiness”! Today again we witnessed an interesting typical Cambodian acoustic phenomenon: Even though 3 leaders were reading stories aloud to 3 little groups of children in our 16 square meters room, nobody was disturbing anybody, which is a part of the Cambodian magic! But we are in the Kingdom of Wonder aren’t we?
