A very Rhythmic Lesson
Today’s lesson has been particularly rhythmic and varied which is great
1- Pair work for conversation
2- Demonstration style public speaking
3- Songs and dances
4- Game with toothpicks
5- Table game in groups of 4 with a die
6- Mini graduation ceremony
Boredom is an enemy of learning. It is therefore important to offer fun lessons to the students.
Fun certainly doesn’t mean messy even if I would perfectly understand that some people could find my classes messy from an outside point of view.
They are lively, not messy.
This liveliness is a great frame in which learning can happen. Lowering the affective filters is a discovery of the linguist Stephen Kraschen. I agree with the necessity of creating a truly fear free environment.
Among what’s missing and should be set from the beginning of the learning process, confidence is a key point. Cambodian people are not naturally confident.
Let’s help them feel grittier!
That’s the purpose of English Booster.
